The 2022 base wine underwent secondary fermentation in bottle and extended ageing on lees, bringing fine bubbles, gentle creaminess and refined brioche notes alongside bright citrus and white peach. With crisp Riesling acidity and a notably dry finish, this Australian interpretation of Sekt suits celebrations, seafood and savoury starters.

Tasting notes

Nose: Citrus, white peach, light florals and toasted brioche. Palate: Fine bubbles, crisp lemon and lime, white peach and subtle creamy lees texture. Finish: Dry, long and refreshing with citrus and delicate brioche.

Wine details

Producer: Rieslingfreak

Region: Clare Valley, South Australia

Vintage: 2022

Variety: Riesling

Style: Dry traditional-method sparkling Riesling

ABV: 12%

Size: 750ml single bottle

Food pairing and serving

Serve well chilled at 6–8°C in a sparkling wine glass.
